Extended Warranty: Moto-Drive 1 and Moto-Drive 2
Commences on the date/kilometres that your Manufacturer’s Warranty or Maintenance Plan expires and extends or provides warranty cover for a further 24 months or until a total of 250 000km’s is recorded on the odometer from the date of first registration.
Commences 30 days after the 1st successful premium collected and is valid until the vehicle reaches 15 years of age or 300 000km’s on the odometer reading.
In the event of a mechanical or electrical failure, which is likely to result in a claim, you must advise the Administrator telephonically. The Administrator will recommend an approved repairer in your area who has conformed to the stringent requirements of the Administrator’s quality control panel. You may choose the repairer. All repair work must be authorised in advance and carried out by an approved repairing agent as recommended by the Administrator.
In the event of a mechanical or electrical failure, which is likely to result in a claim, you must advise the Administrator telephonically. You may choose the repairer off the recommended repairing dealer list. All repair work must be authorised in advance and carried out by an approved repairing agent as recommended by the Administrator.
Moto-Drive 1 and Moto-Drive 2:
Your vehicle must be serviced and maintained as per Manufacturer’s specifications at a Manufacturer’s Franchise Dealer. You will pay for these services.
Moto-Drive 3, 4, 5, and 6:
Your vehicle must be serviced and maintained according to the vehicle Manufacturer’s specification at either a franchise dealer or RMI/AA accredited service agent
You are entitled to cancel this Policy at any time and with immediate effect. Should you wish to cancel your Policy you are required to advise the Administrator in writing.
In the event that you cancel your Policy, the following conditions will apply with regard to the refund of premiums:
It is your responsibility to notify the Administrator when your vehicle is 15 years of age or 300,000km on the odometer reading.
Moto-Drive 1 and Moto-Drive 2:
The Extended Warranty can only be purchased once.
After the expiry of the Extended Warranty (Motor-Drive 1&2) you are eligible to purchase a pre-owned warranty for your vehicle. This policy is a monthly policy and will continue until the vehicle reaches 15 years in age or 300,000KM, whichever occurs first
The administrator will reimburse the repairing dealer directly. In the event that repairs are paid directly by you, the administrator will reimburse you after receipt of paid invoice.
No, there is no need for an inspection of your vehicle.
The Administrator reserves the right to inspect your vehicle or failure before authorisation is given.
All claims must be reported to the Administrator immediately. In the event of a breakdown after hours, over a weekend or over a public holiday the claim must be reported to the Administrator on the next working day. Failure to do so may invalidate the claim
Yes a maximum of 300,000KM
This policy does not cover car hire
Towing charges are covered up to R1, 000 in the event of a valid claim being accepted by the Administrator. This is only available if the motor vehicle breaks down 300KM or more from your home. You will need to pay up front for the towing charges and will be reimbursed by the administrator once the claim has been approved
Your Policy is valid only within the territorial limits of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland
In the event that you sell your vehicle, your Policy may be transferred to a subsequent owner provided your policy is still valid with an updated service history. This request must be submitted in writing (including the new owner’s details) to the Administrator. This Policy may not be transferred from one vehicle to another
This offering is a monthly product and will be deducted from your bank account via debit order
You can call the administrator for an alternative repairing dealer
Any complaints relating to your Policy will be handled by the Administrator, whose complaints department can be contacted on the telephone number for customer care, as provided in your Policy document. Please note that the Administrator’s complaints Policy and procedure is available on the Administrator’s website or from the Administrator by contacting the numbers listed below.
